Streets Division Information

The Streets division maintains all the components that comprise the City's infrastructure, valued at over $ 38,785,042.

The various components of the system include: 75 miles of road surface, signage and street pavement markings.

The Division's mission’s are to maintain the system in a sustainable manner, at the lowest cost to the rate payer, maintain and enhance the City of Milwaukie’s transportation infrastructure, provide safe traveling conditions for pedestrians, bike and vehicular travel and continue an aggressive sweeping cycle of every eight days to meet our NPDES MS4 Permit requirements.

This division helps develop projects and oversees the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the Street infrastructure.

  • Citizen requests.
  • Trench and pothole repairs.
  • Shoulder rock grading and repairs.
  • Sign repairs, replacement and new installations.
  • Pavement marking repairs and replacements.
  • Remove sight obstructions.
  • Street sweeping.
  • Crack sealing.
