NDA Resources for Development Review

Neighborhood District Associations (NDAs) are an important part of the planning process in Milwaukie. Recognized NDAs receive early notification about proposed developments in their area and are invited to meetings regarding these proposals. They are invited to participate in other city-wide processes such as zoning code amendments as well. Recommendations and comments made by NDAs are taken into consideration by staff and the Planning Commission.

This page is designed to provide information that the NDA Land Use Committees (LUCs) can use to understand how the City's development review system works, and how to play a part in it.

• Planning staff are responsible for facilitating and coordinating the review process. If you have any questions - about the proposal, the process, or the timeline, call us - part of our job is to help you get informed and to take your comments.
• The review process must follow a set of legal rules and schedules, so to make a difference it is important that you work within the process.
• To make a difference in a decision, comments must be in writing, or given during testimony at a public hearing.
