The City’s Public Safety Advisory Committee will host a dinner honoring the 2008 Officer and Reserve Officer of the Year on Thursday, March 19th at the Masonic Lodge (10636 SE Main) at 6 p.m. All are invited to join in honoring Officer Tom Garrett and Reserve Officer Eric Charron. Tickets for the prime rib and salmon dinner, catered by the Bomber, need to be purchased by March 10th and are available at the Public Safety Building or by calling (503) 794-9354. Tickets are $20 per person and the event is sponsored by the Milwaukie Farmers Market, The Lewelling Neighborhood, Colonial Life Insurance Clackamas Division, and the Milwaukie Public Safety Foundation. Officer Garrett was recognized for his proactive work as the City’s School Resource Officer and Reserve Officer Charron was recognized for his ability to coordinate incidents, and his willingness to help out whenever called upon.
