There are two types of equipment used, Radar and Laser. The type of device used will be noted on the citation. Each is tested before it is used to make sure it is working properly. Officers do not "calibrate" or "certify" these devices. Those processes are done by the maker of the device.
After reviewing your citation and deciding how you are going to plea, you may respond the following ways:
•Appear before the Judge at the arraignment hearing. The date, time and location for your arraignment is shown on the bottom of the citation.
•Appear at the Municipal Court office, located at City Hall, during regular business hours before your arraingment date.
•Send by mail your signed no contest plea along with a check or money order for the full amount of the presumptive fine.
•Pay your fine online by clicking here. Paying online will require you to enter a plea of no contest.
•Plead not guilty and send by mail. You will recieve a trial notice by mail with your scheduled trial date and time to appear.
