The Milwaukie Poetry Series

This exciting series of readings by established local poets takes place on the second Wednesday of each month September through June at 7 p.m. in the Pond House adjacent to the Milwaukie Ledding Library, 2215 SE Harrison, Milwaukie, OR, 97222.

It is our mission to make poetry more accessible to all members of the community. We all have our own unique voices and discover them by sharing with family, friends, in small groups or in settings like the Milwaukie Poetry Series at the Ledding Library Pond House. Reading poetry and bringing people together to hear the spoken word supports and develops community. In addition to the readings, there are also workshops, open mike readings, youth events, and a summer poetry picnic. Poetry is the life of a community; it helps us write our story, which is at the heart of this wonderful enterprise.
