The January 2013 Pilot newsletter honors our "Volunteer of the Year" Mr. Ed Zumwalt and encourages you to "Resolve to Get Involved!" Check out the many ways you can get involved--from simple one-time opportunities to ongoing opportunities in our community. Numerous studies have shown that people who do volunteer work for 2 or more hours a week have lower rates of depression and heart disease, live happier, more fulfilled lives and even have improved brain function. Volunteering has also been shown to boost your career prospects.
