Free workshop on April 4th encourages 'Growing Solar'

Tue Apr 3rd, 2012

Learn to reduce your power bill while building your community by learning how to go solar at a free Workshop on Wednesday, Apr. 4th, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Milwaukie Grange, located at 12015 SE 22nd Ave.

Residents, small businesses—almost anyone with a building in Clackamas County can now, for a limited time, participate in this community-led program for installing quality Oregon-made solar electric (PV) and solar hot water systems at affordable one-time prices. This is a chance to learn about how to use federal and state tax breaks and incentives to put a renewable energy system to work for you.

Growing Solar Clackamas County is a citizen-run group, with support from the Oregon State University Extension Service, Clackamas County Office of Sustainability, and Solar Oregon (an Oregon non-profit organization).
