Rina M. Byrne, CPA CFE
Rina Byrne has been Finance Director of the City of Milwaukie since April 2013 after two years as Assistant Finance Director. Prior to her employment with Milwaukie, Rina was with Talbot, Korvola & Warwick, LLP as a senior manager in the government audit department. Previously, she was the Controller of the Housing Authority of Clackamas County.
Rina became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1987 and then spent three years with an international public accounting firm, KPMG, in Guernsey, Channel Islands, an offshore financial center. Upon moving to the United States, she became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California in 1990 and then in Oregon in 1991. She was admitted to the Oregon Municipal Auditors roster in 2006. In 2010, Rina earned her Certified Fraud Examiner professional certification.
Rina participates in Oregon Municipal Finance Officers Association’s Accounting Standards Committee and is a member of the Oregon State Board of Accountancy’s CPE Committee.
