Rina Byrne, CPA CFE
Rina Byrne has accepted the position of Assistant Finance Director with the City of Milwaukie effective February 16, 2010. Prior to serving at the City of Milwaukie, Rina was with Talbot, Korvola & Warwick, LLP as a senior manager in the government audit department. Previously, she was the Controller of the Housing Authority of Clackamas County.
Rina became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1987 and then spent three years with an international public accounting firm, KPMG, in Guernsey, Channel Islands, an offshore financial center. Upon moving to the United States, she became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California in 1990 and then in Oregon in 1991. She was admitted to the Oregon Municipal Auditors roster in 2006. In 2010, Rina earned her Certified Fraud Examiner professional certification as well.
Rina participates in OMFOA’s Accounting Standards Committee and was recently appointed as a member of the Oregon State Board of Accountancy’s CPE Committee.
