The Streets division maintains all the components that comprise the City's
infrastructure, valued at over $ 38,785,042. The various components of the
system include: 75 miles of road surface, signage and street pavement markings.
The Division's mission’s are to maintain the system in a sustainable manner, at
the lowest cost to the rate payer, maintain and enhance the City of Milwaukie’s
transportation infrastructure, provide safe traveling conditions for
pedestrians, bike and vehicular travel and continue an aggressive sweeping cycle
of every eight days to meet our NPDES MS4 Permit requirements. This division
develops, projects and oversees the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the
Street infrastructure.
