The City of Milwaukie is working on revising the zoning regulations that apply to off-street parking and loading areas.

The goals of the revision project are:

• Make the Parking Chapter Easier to Use

• Update the Numerical Standards for Parking Quantity and Design

• Fix ‘Loopholes’ that make some standards not applicable to specific uses

• Create flexibility for some code standards

The proposed amendments would repeal and replace the existing off-street parking chapter. Significant changes are described in the Key Issues section. A full explanation of the proposed chapter is provided in the commentary version of the proposed chapter.

The City Council approved amendments to the off-street parking chapter on May 18, 2010. A copy of the adopted ordinance is on-line.
