The entries for the second annual artMob Scarecrow Contest range from the sick to the silly, with everything from a Princess Leia and her famous buns to a ghoulish surgical skeleton.

This year's winners:

This Contemporary or Traditional category:
First Place: Donna and Dennis Ward for “Small Things Matter Too”--a miniature scarecrow with pirate accessories.
Second: Jacob Samples for “Dr. Bones”--our scary surgical skeleton.

Character:
First Place: Chelsea Bantz for “Black Swan” in ballerina garb—based on the recent movie starring Natalie Portman.
Second: Macy Bishop and Family for their Princess Leia scarecrow based on the all-time favorite Star Wars movies.

Group:
First Place: Christy Pierce from Olson Brothers: Eco-Bro the Mechanic getting ready to work on a bio-diesel car.
Second: Joe Campbell for Ardenwald NDA: The empty-headed pumpkin scarecrow represents their openness to new ideas.
