Scott Churchill was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has lived in Milwaukie for the past seven years. He has served as a Milwaukie Planning Commissioner for more than six and a half years, chaired the Milwaukie Library Expansion Task Force and has been an active member of the South Downtown study group and the Tacoma Station Area study group.
Scott was elected to office in November 2012. He believes in the importance of a fiscally responsible, transparent city government which works to execute their goals within a balanced budget. He is active in local business development and is especially interested in supporting small business growth in Milwaukie's downtown business district. He is a strong supporter of keeping the downtown as a pedestrian friendly, small scale, walkable downtown with a vibrant retail presence.
Scott and his family live in the Historic Milwaukie Neighborhood. He is an active dog walker, kayaker and city volunteer.
